Robert Liptrot

Overview of Experience
Mr. Liptrot is President and Founder of Boston Industrial Consulting, Inc. He has over 20 years of consulting experience for more than 75 companies on over 275 projects. He has managed a wide variety of projects for manufacturing, distribution, material handling, and print & mail industries, with project scope up to $80M. His expertise is in master business planning, operations analysis, detail layout planning, material handling system design, distribution design, manufacturing system design, and project management. His project responsibilities include Principal and Project Manager.

Prior to founding Boston Industrial Consulting, Mr. Liptrot served as Vice President for an industrial engineering consulting firm for 10 years. At that firm, he served as project manager for programs involving master and detail planning, distribution systems, material handling design and implementation management. He also served as manufacturing systems manager for a manufacturer of automotive products. He was responsible for implementing computer scheduling systems, material management programs, inventory control and product tracking systems.

Mr. Liptrot is recognized in the industry as an expert in the design and implementation of industrial and distribution facilities.  He has spoken at seminars for Build Boston, NA2006, ProMat, and other professional organizations.  He is currently President of the Boston Chapter of MHMS (Material Handling & Management Society) and played a key role in the resurgence of a material handling trade show in the Boston area.

Ayman Labib

Overview of Experience
Mr. Labib is a Consultant for Boston Industrial Consulting Inc. He has 10 years of industrial engineering and project management experience for facility layout and operational start-up of multiple line operations.  His expertise includes distribution analysis, layout planning, cost feasibility analysis, implementation coordination and simulation.

Prior to joining Boston Industrial Consulting, Mr. Labib served as the Production Team Leader and Operations Improvement Industrial Engineer for Nestle Food Group, Inc.   In these roles he was heavily involved in the review and implementation of plant operational improvements projects, technical and organizational support, cost feasibility analysis for short and long-term projects and the development of processes and equipment alternatives targeted at producing tangible cost savings.  His team was responsible for facility layout, planning operation strategy, facilitating training requirements, the management of daily line operations and was also responsible for line benchmarks in the areas of productivity, variance, quality and safety.

Mr. Labib also has experience as an Operations Analyst for the United States Post Office and Advanced Manufacturing Center. He was involved with performing time-motion studies and developing facility design layouts, upgrading efficiency, and assisting in station renovation and reconstruction.

Richard Landry

Overview of Experience
Mr. Landry is a Senior Industrial Engineer for Boston Industrial Consulting. He has over 25 years of industrial engineering, material handling and facilities experience in private industry and consulting. Within his consulting experience, he has worked for over 50 companies in a wide variety of industries, including high tech manufacturing, assembly and distribution industries. His key skills include creative design engineering, problem solving through analysis, and project management. He has used these skills in successful consulting projects for Ford Motor Company, General Electric, Gillette Company, GTE Products, Johnson & Johnson, and United Medical Manufacturing. The experience and knowledge he brings to his clients is measured through the positive results of his projects, and the high amount of repeat business from his clients.

Prior to joining Boston Industrial Consulting, Mr. Landry worked in management positions for Digital Equipment Corporation. His responsibilities included Manufacturing Engineering Manager, Facilities Planner and Technical Service Consultant. His accomplishments included the integration of a sixteen building consolidation project, design and installation of a high volume manufacturing line, and design of new distribution center using automated material handling systems.

Will Schoenig

Overview of Experience
Mr. Schoenig is a Consultant for Boston Industrial Consulting Inc. He has over 16 years of Industrial Engineering and Project Management experience, primarily within distribution functions, in a variety of industries. He has managed a number of projects including facility design and construction, material handling equipment design and installation, and new technology selection and integration. Mr. Schoenig’s projects have had a major impact on companies’ abilities to meet the demands of their customers.

Prior to joining Boston Industrial Consulting, Will served as a Project Manager for Staples. In this role he was responsible for facility retrofits and expansions, new facility construction and new technology evaluation. His major accomplishments include a pilot program which integrated a new technology into existing systems for live production testing, the design and construction of facility expansions and the construction and opening of a new $33M fulfillment center. 

Prior to Staples Mr. Schoenig worked for Wakefern Food Corporation as a Project Engineer. While working at Wakefern Food Corporation, he was responsible for new facility design and construction, the selection and implementation of RF and voice directed selection systems, engineered work standards, facility related projects requiring capital investment and general facility repairs and maintenance.

Michael D. Beane

Overview of Experience
Mr. Beane is a Design Engineer for Boston Industrial Consulting.  He has over 13 years of experience with CAD layout and design in manufacturing, mechanical, distribution and print-to-mail.  His project responsibilities include CAD layout design, space planning, MEP planning, workstation design and specification of material handling equipment.   His experience includes designing, planning, and implementation of projects in accordance with timeline and project budgets. Mr. Beane’s computer background coupled with engineering experience provides an in-depth understanding of both disciplines as it relates to each project.

Prior to joining Boston Industrial Consulting, Mr. Beane held positions as Tooling Services Manager and Senior Mechanical Designer.  He was responsible for the design and production of all Board-Lok division drawings that were then imported and programmed for use with Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) equipment.  Utilized Ultimax 3.0 software for on and off-site programming consisting of designing tooling fixtures.  The tooling fixtures would enable fully supported, error free screen-printing of double sided printed circuit boards.  His experience also includes the design and manufacturing of enclosure designs for all weather conditions, heating issues, cable and sub-assemblies, NEMA and mounting fabrication, mechanical and electrical packaging, printed circuit board fabrication, mechanical outlines, wiring schematics, populated assemblies and ECO control for all designs.

Harish Phadke

Overview of Experience:
Mr. Phadke is a Consultant for Boston Industrial Consulting Inc. His experience incorporates industrial engineering, project management and financial analysis.

Prior to joining Boston Industrial Consulting Inc, Mr. Phadke has served as a project engineer at BPL Mobile Telecommunications. In this role Harish was involved in the review and implementation of measures to reduce “wait time” in various facets of the operation throughout the organization. He was then involved in a study related to the optimization of employee work schedules at the corporate headquarters.

Mr. Phadke also has experience as a financial analyst for ICICI Bank, India. He was involved in the development of a statistical model to calculate the capital required to cover operational risk using the loss distribution approach and frequency/severity analysis. Harish was also involved in the development of a Queuing based model, for streamlining business processes at the Central Trade Service Unit, Corporate Banking Department.
